They are continuing to monitor and liaise with their sister societies.Hundreds of thousands of people are still on the move but they already have strong national teams at both sites. Vice President for the Canadian Red Cross in Alberta Jenn Mcmanus said they’re not asking people to donate funds just yet as they’re still assessing needs. “Family members actually try and stay off the phone lines because of course, we want people to get through for emergency purposes so check the Canadian Global Affairs website on what to do to find a relative.” In terms of visiting the areas, they’re asking people to listen to Global Affairs and register with the authorities.last_img
