first_imgAustralians are paying triple the price they should be for travel insurance products when they book through an airline or travel agent, according to comparison site Mozo.Mozo used common travel insurance scenarios such as singles and families of four visiting countries like the UK, US, Thailand and NZ for a fortnight in order to find the best and worst options.In one example, a family could pay AUD $504 when booking a comprehensive policy via Qantas on a trip to the USA. However, they could also find a similar policy for AUD $164 by using FastCover.The results of the Mozo study were that the best value comprehensive travel insurance products were Southern Cross Travel Insurance and TravelCare whilst the best value basic insurance cover was from Insure&Go and One Trip Bare Essentials.Source = ETB News: Tom Nealelast_img
